KUJENGA
Kujenga from Swahili means to build or construct. It may mean to build or construct a dwelling. There is also the human element to Kujenga, that I represent here in these glass pieces. Building one’s life, chapter by chapter, folding in all the variables, challenges and opportunities we all encounter. The many turns in these glass pieces represent the changing stories and adaptations we face as humans, so we can begin again anew.

Fused Layers are of translucent glass. Each side reflects differently, creating new compositions when viewed from every side.
GLASS WEAVINGS
Pushing the limits of glass, these pieces portray a weaving of color and texture. Light transmits through the pieces where the subtleties of the colors shine through.
